Emilia M.
My name is Emilia M., I am a black African woman from Nigeria. I am a migrant woman who has been in this country since 2011 and sought asylum in 2015.
I have been with the organisation Women for Refugee Women since 2016 and have been very involved in their drama group. My life has tremendously improved since being with them and learning the power of cooperation and coordination amongst women. This has motivated and inspired me.
I have also been a member of the London VOICES Network since 2020. I have contributed by giving my own voice and sharing my experiences at VOICES activities both in person and online.
I am a woman who does not like to give up on anything I do or on anything I want to achieve. I do not do things just for profit. I approach new projects with a focus and determination that requires planning and purpose.
