My heart yearns for peace

Where can my heart find peace?

Is it in the gathering of my beloved friends?

Where can my heart find peace?

Is it in the mix of my family members?

Where can my heart find peace?

Is it in a beautiful apartment

Surrounded with lovely flowers

In a rich area of a country I have chosen?

Maybe my heart will find peace.

 

Where can my heart find peace?

My thoughts lead to a place

The place, I think, that my heart will find peace

Where equality reigns

Where love amongst us shines,

Shines out like a bright morning star

Where forgiveness takes the place of hate

And we all use our hearts

To keep each other safe.

Then I believe MY heart will find peace

At peace with the peaceful world.
